DISTRIBUTION

Ditribution and Marketing
DVDs are distributed much like music CDs and movie DVDs through a system of wholesale distributors and retailers of various kinds, from dedicated music stores to a wide variety of national chain stores ranging from Borders bookstores to Wal-Mart. In the last few years, Internet sales of albums have grown increasingly important to the industry with the success of online merchants such as Amazon.com but still represented only a small part of U.S. album sales in 2003.
Coming Home Studios has developed a powerful and unique new international distribution system for its proprietary DVDs that began with the release of the Rush in Rio album in October 2003 and was fully instituted with Matchbox Twenty DVD, which was released on May 25, 2004.
This system allows the company to self-distribute, thereby realizing the maximum profit potential on each DVD project. All proprietary DVDs produced by the Coming Home Studios will be sold through this distribution system. This system uses the most powerful Music DVD Distributors all over the world, giving CHS one of the strongest independent distribution systems in the business.
Because Coming Home Studios funds proprietary productions and is not dependent on distributors for production advances, it is able to control distribution costs in each territory. This allows the company to control the entire production and distribution process. This control is highly appealing to artists and labels because they gain a much higher royalty payment than would be possible under a typical licensing arrangement.
Coming Home Studios has established distribution deals and licensing deals with major distributors throughout the world including :
United States: KOCH
Benelux countries: PIAS
Canada: KOCH
France: PIAS
Germany: Soul Food/ Sony
Italy: Edel
Portugal: Edel
Scandinavia: Playground/PIAS
South America: SUM Records
Spain: SUM Records
United Kingdom: Pinnacle
Japan: JVC
VictorGroup/DreamtimeEntertainment
SE Asia: Magada/ Wells-Go
Coming Home Studios has been successful in recruiting distribution companies of this stature because of its track record of successfully producing major talent. Most of the above distributors are either public companies or divisions of major international companies.
